I was invited by Shaykh Suliman Gani to talk on the subject of Ahmadiyya at Hendon Mosque & Islamic Centre on Saturday evening. Alhamdulillah, it was a packed house. It always amazes me to see packed mosques full of observing Muslims of all backgrounds. Islam is a beautiful deen and it beats strong in the hearts of many.
Sadly, I have no audio recording of the talk, but it went very well alhamdulillah and the brothers who greeted me afterwards gave uniformly positive feedback. There was a good round of Q&A at the end.
My talk was the last one of the programme, following Shaykh Suliman Gani’s impassioned defence of the Finality of Prophethood. His talk in turn followed an inspiring talk by one of the local shaykhs on the status of the sahabas. I covered some of the Myths and Misconceptions that Ahmadis have about Islam, Muslims and themselves. The substance of this talk was covered in greater detail in a video that I made with the team that produced my interview on Iqra. It will be made available on the web soon insha’Allah.
Myth 1: Ahmadis are United, Muslims are disunited
I conducted a straw poll and asked the attendees who the Last Prophet was. The result was unanimous. I told the audience that the answer would be the same in just about any mosque in the world and that was our true unity – that and our shared `eeman. I explained that our theology is broadly similar. Credit must go to brother Farhan for inspiration.
I then referred to the Ahmadiyya, whose membership backbite amongst themselves and are not even united on whether their founder was a prophet or not.
Myth 2: Mullahs
Mullahs are bogeymen, used by the Mirzology clergy to frighten their children, the way Victorian parents used “Saladin” as a bogeyman to terrify their kids at bedtime. And in any case, Ahmadiyya clergy have spread hatred about Muslim `ulama since the time of the founder of Mirzology himself, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani, which kind of makes them ideal arhcetypes for their “mullah” fantasy, inverting the “Love for All, Hatred for None” credo neatly.
I then asked if Sheikh Hamza Yusuf, Professor Tariq Ramadan or Shaykh Suliman Gani (who had already spoken at this gathering) were preachers of hate or mullahs? The audience was incredulous, of course not!
Myth 3: That Ahmadis are better educated and better thinkers than the low-life Muslims.
Prospect magazine, which ran a poll on the Top 100 public intellectuals in 2008, showed that the top 10 were… ALL MUSLIMS. That’s right. Not a single Mirzologist in the top 10. Not one in the top 100 either. That’s because there are currently no notable thinkers from the Cult of Mirzology.
Myth 4: That Ahmadis are growing in number all the time.
I pointed out that in 2002, Mirza Tahir claimed a membership of 200M. The audience laughed. In 2003, Nasim Rehmatullah claimed 50M. I wondered where the 150M had disappeared to.

That Muslims are disunited: I think geographically, Iran v. Iraq, Egypt v. Palestine, Jordan v. Syria; and the killing of the shieas by the sunnies and vice versa, and every sect calling the others as kafir and wajib-ul-qatal would easily qualify for the ‘disunity’. I never knew that ‘finishing off the prophethood’ was ever a rule to measure unity.
That Mullahs are bogeymen: I think Bin-Landin would qualify for a bogeyman and few others… Do i name them?
That Ahmadis are better educated: You can compare Ahmadis’ near 100% literacy rate with your madrasa educated dead ‘shaheeds’ whose only diploma is a certificate of shahadat (martyrdom) issued by the taliban.
Oh, and about the Prospect magazine poll:

That Ahmadis are growing in number: Show me a single place where Ahmadis have not grown in numbers, including Pakistan and the Middle-east. I figured out as to why the ahmadi population dropped so much with the death of Mirza Tahir Ahmad.
When a new khalifa takes over, all ahmadis have to re-new their bait, not all of the ahmadis did that!
I remember back in 2003, I had no idea about this concept of re-newing my baith. In 2004, I asked an Imam in detroit a question about the prophethood of MGA, he got so upset that he told me that I wasnt even an ahmadi, I was confused!!!

Ahmadiyya theology itself teaches that bukhari is not 100% authentic. Ahmadiyya theology doubts mutawatir hadith.
Ahmadiyya theology uses a “pick and choose” theory when it comes to defining Islam.
The coming of the Mahdi is not mentioned in the Quran. Ahmadiyya theology states (reference needed) that is something exists in hadith in needs to be verified in the Quran. By the rules of ahmadiyya theology all of the hadith in terms of the mahdi ought to be rejected.
Allam Iqbal once wrote:
“I consider all the Hadith reports relating to the Mahdi and the concepts of Messiah-ship and Mujaddids to be the result of Persian and other non-Arab philosophies. They have nothing to do with Arab thought or the true spirit of the Quran.”

Iqbal was so wrong.. Israelites had these concepts in their theology for thousands of years. Persian and Sabian myths??

Iqbal wanted to wriggle out of his past by such ridiculous theories. He had strong links with Ahrar, where people dismissing Mahdi would have been declared kafirs straight away.
Iqbal is also a favourite of Parvezi movement. GA Parvez claiming to be a favourite student of his. Maudoodi loved him too. And Iqbal admired the Bahai lady Qurat-Ain Tahira, whom he called among the ladies of paradise.

I cannot imagine an angel appeared before The Holy Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. and revealed to Him(SAW) that Isa a.s.(Jesus)
the prophet belong to The Israelite community who is much lower in status compare to Him(SAW) is still alive bodily in heaven and one day would returned to the earth as the saviour for His(SAW) ummah. One has to be very careful about return of Hazrath ISA a.s otherwise there is every potential to be mislead.
First point is Allah s.w.t sends messengers to convey the message and that’s all. Giving guidance is in the hands of Allah s.w.t. alone. Every prophet preached to a different nation except Muhammad pbuh, who came for all mankind.
Second, it is true that there are authentic hadith about return of Isa a.s. Let us be very clear on this issue.
Third, who has distorted the true teachings of Hz. ISA a.s? Obviously, his return is to correct that and to reestablish the true teachings.
I am amazed at why you are comparing the status of Prophet Muhammad and Isa a.s peace be upon them, based on the return of Hz Isa a.s. There is no need to do that. is this what your Murabbis are teaching you?
To conclude you should be asking your Murabbis that if they donot believe in return of Haz. Isa a.s. like the Muslims and Christians do, then why did they believe in MGA when he proclaimed that he is the second coming of Jesus a.s?
This is not to condemn you or your belief but to give you some thought to study more on this subject through authentic teaching and not just by listening to the ignorant Murabbis of the jamaat.
No doubt Isa a.s. was born of a virgin, yet, He a.s. was accused by the Jews as the illegitimate son for being born out of wedlock (Na’uzubillah) it is only with the advent of The Holy Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. that Esa a.s. and his mother status is purified as testified in The Holy Quraan that Mariam was pure and pious, otherwise, we would not had known and accepted that. There is nothing great about Isa a.s. was born of a vergin to the extent of belittle the Holy Prophet s.a.w. status.
No doubt Allah azza wa jal did not create The Holy Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. as He did created Adam a.s. but The Holy Prophet s.a.w. never go against the commands of Allah as Adam a.s. did that He a.s. was expelled from heaven because He a.s. falls to evil temptation, so His a.s. creation does not belittle The Holy Prophet Status at all.

If I were to quit Ahmadiyyat I would become a muslim without leader or a muslim with too many leaders to follow, neither one of fit to be classified as AHL SUNNAH WAL JAMAAH.
Whenever I observed we performed congrational prayer it reminds me that one jemaah can only be presided by one leader, it can never be without leader or with too many leaders, likewise, when we run a muslim organisation it has to be presided by one leader, that’s the lesson we learnt from our Holy Prophet Muhammad(SAW) and it has become His(SAW) sunnah that a body or organisation should only be presided by one leader.
Unlike The Ahmadiyyat Movement, the rest of the muslim have too many leaders to follow, they tried to wriggle out of this by forming coalition parties, yet, the fact is they devided
into various components headed by different leaders.

Yes am dead serious about the concept of one community one leadership, I believe the main objective of the mission Holy Prophet Muhammad(SAW) is to unite all muslim ummah, to reflect the unity of God (TAUHID ILLAHI) it is no point to belive that God is one yet the ummah is not one, they are divided into many factions and sectarian due too many leaders.
During the time of Holy Prophet Muhammad*SAW) muslim ummah followed only one leader that was The Holy Prophet(SAW) himself, after His demised the system of Khilafat was enected to ensure that the ummah remain united into one body, no doubt there were some traitors who did sabotage the system.
The Holy Prophet Muhammad never teach us to follow too many leaders.
The present so called clever mullah,clergy,scholars etc, have no potential to accomplish this main mission of The Holy Prophet Muhammad(SAW).
They tried to confuse the ummah by forming coalition parties among themselve, as if they are united, infact they are divided into different components with different leaders, that is the reason every time they are at logger head they need to reconcile to confuse the ummah as if they are united, such practice does not conform to the practice of The Holy Prophet Muhammad(SAW) and it against to the basic teaching of Islam.

Further, there are some others like Deendar Anjuman group who also were beilieving in MGA and were caught red handed planting bombs in religious places to cause chaos and confusion between various religions such as hinduism, Islam, christianity etc.
Islam is a widespread relgion and just like people of any other major World religion out there and it is not necessary and not practical for all to come under one Khalifa or a ruler. Diversity is one of the beauties of GODS creation. We call it unity in diversity. As long as they remain within and follow principles of ISLAM there is salvation for us. But if we go astray and follow heretic cults like Ahmaiyyat founded by the self proclaimed prophet MGA, then we will most likely be loosers.
Allah s.w.t did not tell us that unless you all come under one khilafat I will not forgive you or put you in hell. Instead in Holy Quran Allah informs us beautifully as “O mankind we have created you from a single pair of male and female and made you into many nations and tribes so that you may know one another and not despise one another, and the best among you is the one who is the most pious”

Ahmadiyyat is not Khilafat. It is a cult. How come only the unfit family members of MGA become Kahilfa’s. That shows they are not elected but appointed.
Is not the main objective of the mission of The Holy Prophet(SAW) is to establish unity? of God(Tauhid Illahi) and untiy of ummah?(Ukhwah Islamiah) if so, what is the correct system according to you beside the system that was enected and practised by The Holy Prophet(SAW) himself and His(SAW) successors, one community one leadership, do you seriously believe that the main objective of the mission of The Holy Prophet(SAW) could be accomplished by those muslim who have too many leaders to follow? where does it occurred in the teaching of The Holy Prophet(SAW) that muslim are required to prctice and follow too many leaders? can u pls point out just one example as I have shown an example that the practice of cogrational prayer is the teaching of The Holy Prophet(SAW) that unity can only be achieved by following one leader.
Don’t tell me about unity in diversity, caused to me it is just a gimmick, as I poined out in my previous post it is only coalition parties with different components and leaders, there is no unity at all.

Also muslims are in different parts of the World and are not always under the same leaders due to geo-political reasons but they all believe in one Allah, one Messenger and one holy Quran. They unequivocally reject MGA or any other new claimant of Prophethood after Muhammad (pbuh).
The Lahori seemed to have fall in the same trap as those early mulims of the Khulafa Rashida era who rebel against the institution of khilafat for the reasons known to them, as for those who realised it would be a blunder mistake to rebel against the system of institution of khilafat remained intact and Insha’Allah they will all be reunited again in time to come.
Alhamdulillah, that you realised the different between Ahmadi muslim and non-Ahmadi muslim, Ahmadi muslims are united under one leadership wherever they live in different parts of the world for the reasons they all believe in one Allah, one messenger and one holy Quran, non-Ahmadi muslim are disunited under different leadership in different parts of the world even though they claimed that they believe in one Allah, one messenger and one holy Quran, so what is the point to have believe if it does not poduce effect as expected? our plain logic reject such notion,(eg. we believe that we could expect to taste sweetness from sugar, yet, when it does not produce the effect as expected what’s used to our believe?)
The question of NEW prophet is irrelevent because it dos not exist at all, how could the Imam Mahdi/Imam of The Age, regardless whether he is Mirza Ghulam Ahmad or not is said to be NEW prophet when he is required to obey the shariaat of Rasul Karim Muhammad Rasulullah(SAW)? as I said in my previous post his prophethood is SUBJECTED TO THE PROPHETHOOD OF THE HOLY PROPHET MUHAMMAD(saw) in simple words his prophethood is in controlled or dominated
by the prophethood of Muhammad Rasulullah(SAW) that is to say his prophethood does not go to the extends to nullify or
abrogate the highest status of The Holy Prophet(SAW) as The Khattamul Anbiyya. So how he be NEW prophet?
Allowed me to reemphasised my point here, according to holy Quran prophethood is a kind of spiritual blessing, therefore, it does not make sense to say that the purpose of the advent of The Holy Prophet(SAW) is to closed spiritual blessing doors, as I said it is a kind of an insult to His(SAW) dignity to believe so,
because no prophets of Allah ever does that, not even those perophets belong to the Israilite who were much lower status compare to our beloved Rasul Karim Muhammad Rasulullah(SAW).
